Be Green, Be Grateful, Be Genuine!

I was lucky enough to discover gDiapers four years ago when I had my son. When he was first born we used a big name brand diaper, I remember how much I hated changing his diaper to find those little gel crystals on his little bottom and boy parts.   I had looked into using cloth diapers, however living in an apartment it simply wasn’t cost effective.   I began searching the internet, there HAD to be another option.  That is when I found gDiapers, it was a disposable option, but also had cloth qualities. Flushable inserts that you have the option of flushing or even composting (just the wet ones please), and the ability to use cloth instead.  I ordered a starter pack and began stalking our mailman.

When the diapers came I was so excited to strap them on to his little booty!  They were oh so cute, his little Grasshopper Green booty, complete with a g on the back, for Gabriel of course.  I soon realized the extra perks.  Only a few minutes in to our g-experience he had a blowout worthy number 2, one that would have warranted a wardrobe change in his previous diapers. I was perplexed, I HEARD it, but where was it?  It’s wasn’t leaking out the legs, it hadn’t gone up his back... I tentatively poked my finger into the waist band to confirm, yup, it was there, all in there, where it is supposed to be!  Amazing!  Then the diaper change came, that remarkably disgusting number two didn’t have to hang out in the nursery till trash day!   I simply took the flushable insert into the bathroom and ripped it, “swished” it, and flushed it.  It was gone!  No stinky ick in our apartment!  Over the next few weeks and months I appreciated our gDiapers more, for things like the Velcro being in the back, once I got used to it, it was much easier than the front Velcro, but way more difficult for his wandering hands to reach, no “look ma!  No diaper” moments for us!  Then when we were in a situation to not have to save quarter for laundry, we quickly figured out how to use prefolds inside our gPants while we were home, saving our flushies for outings.  It was clean, pure, simple and green, not chemicals on my little ones skin either!

Fast forward four years.  Number two (no not that kind), is about to make her appearance to the world.  I had began a small stash of cloth diapers, but I knew I want to use gDiapers again as well.  Right before we got pregnant with number two, gDiapers released their newest addition: tiny gPants, and oh man, were they CUTE!  A few changes from previous gPants, the liner didn’t snap in, it was built in.  I had to have them.  I had to buy them off a mom, who was no longer using hers because there was quite a large demand for them and they had been put on backorder.  Again I stalked our mail carrier.  I ordered flushies and was ready to go when they came, all of those tiny gPants were stuffed and waiting when Cordelia came home.  I really loved the tiny g’s, they had the features I loved about the regular little g’s, and then some.  I loved that they snapped down in the front to make room for her cord stump, it kept the diapers from rubbing on it and making it bleed.   The built in liner was also great, easy to clean.  I can’t lie I also love the cute “g word” print, not girly, not boyish (I am a mom that feels like anything that isn’t pink is too boyish too) just plain… well… baby!

Another thing the wonderful folks at gDiapers have come out with since my son was in them, gCloth.  It is the companies very own version of our prefolds.  I found that while using prefolds in our gPants saved us money, it made the diapers bulky.  This time around we have gCloth as an option,   made with microfleece to pull the moisture away from your baby and a hemp/cotton fabric to absorb the moisture.  The microfleece is super soft on baby’s skin.  Also new to the gFamily are gStyles, oh so adorable gDiaper outfits!  One for girls and one for boys, and too cute for words!  This mama has been drooling over the gDarling dress set…  A truly picture worthy outfit!

I love gDiapers, not just the product, but the company.  I can’t speak highly enough of the people at gDiapers headquarters.  I have never had an unfriendly, below wonderful experience with them.  As a mom, and consumer that is a big deal to me.  If I do not have a good customer service experience, I simply find a way to live without your product (I drive an extra half hour to go to a theater other than Regal just because of a terrible experience).  I will tell you one thing, they are not lacking in that department.  They have someone that can answer any question or problem you might have, they stand by their product %110 percent, and because of that so do many of the parents that use gDiapers.

I also appreciate that they are very environmentally friendly, not just the product, but down to shipping, using Green Shipping (see Greenshipping.com).  Possibly my favorite thing about this company (and trust me it is impossible for me to pick one but this is up there), is the value they place in family “We have an on-site child development center. If mom needs to nurse or wants some playtime with her baby, gDiapers is set up to accommodate her needs. If a child is sick, by all means, go home. We hope everyone feels better soon. If dad wants to see Jr. in the school talent show in the middle of the day, he has our blessing. In fact, we may come with him. “ if that doesn’t sum it up, then I don’t know what does!  If only I could talk my husband into moving to Portland…

I know that sometimes we post snippets (yeah I said snippets) from the company’s website, but I want you to go check it out www.gdiapers.com, I will give you a quiz on it later… Kind of…
No blog is complete without a picture or two… I want to share mine.

Lets kick it old school with Gabe back in the day sporting his green gDiaper, and baby love handles.  (This picture was actually used for a Kiddie Kandids ad campaign. Just to throw out a mom brag)

I feel really lucky that I came across this product, and this company.  Now I want YOU to get to know them!  I contacted Michelle at gHeadquarters and they have been generous enough to donate a New Baby Bundle to one lucky reader!  One VERY lucky reader!  I am actually jealous of whoever wins this, and my baby can’t even fit in them!

So let’s get down to it shall we? Time for the Quiz!

We are not expecting yet.. but we plan on having another little one.. and this is something that we heavily considered when we pregnant with our 2nd child and never followed through.

Thank you for reintroducing me to the brand.. I have it bookmarked and would LOVE to win this as motivation to follow through!

As far as designs go.. I love the pink ruffle pants or the good vibe stripes. I love that they are flushable so I do not have to smell it in my house.. because we too are apartment living and will be for a few more years!! Thanks again!!

I LOVE gDiapers with a passion. when my daughter was born tiny g's were not available yet so she was in disposable diapers and within 3 days had a horrendous diaper rash. we tried every disposable out there, all with the same result. we put her in gdiapers and the difference was immediate! we noticied within a day that her rash was clearing up and within a week it was gone completely. we exclusively use gDiapers with cloth inserts and LOVE them. even my husband who was opposed to cloth diapering is thrilled!!!

I found gdiapers when my daughter was still in diapers, but we didn't want to make an investment in cloth or hybrid diapers when she wasn't going to be in diapers much longer. We're planning for number 2 and I am now in love with the idea of using a hybrid cloth diaper. My husband and in-laws aren't sold on the idea of me wanting to use cloth so giving them the flushie option will hopefully make everyone happy. I bought a couple of gpants off craigslist and I'm in love with their thin trim and the snap in liner. I don't want the bulk that some cloth diapers can bring and they're still cute enough to not have to wear clothes anyway. I also love their new shirt/dress sets. I can't wait to use gdiapers. ~Jen B.~

I cannot sing enough praises about gDiapers.. I am a fanatic. I talk off the ears of the poor strangers that happen to encounter me about gDipes. We started using them about 3 weeks ago with my second little girl, Paisley. My favorite thing(s) about them (no, I can't pick just one) are...
- the grey and pink gDarling dress (that Paisley sometimes wears 3 times a week for fashion's sake),
- the fact that the disposable inserts are COMPOSTABLE when only wet (because I just built my first compost heap and I get giddy when I get to toss something in there),
- the fact that Paisley can sleep all night long (10 hours) with peepants and the gDipes DO NOT LEAK AT ALL, and...
-the fact that as soon as I started using them, Paisley's chronic bum rash was a thing of the past. I'm talking within the first 8 hours of using them.

Alright! I am so excited :) I love gDiapers and I really want the new baby bundle!!

gDiapers are cloth diapers with either a cloth insert or a disposable insert. The disposable insert can be flushed, composted or thrown away! The cloth inserts are fairly new. They don’t have to be folded, just inserted like the disposable insert. The company’s philosophy has to do with being sustainable and preserving Earth. Their products are part of Cradle to Cradle! Even though they could produce more and have more customers, they stay small in order to keep the integrity of the product. gDiapers are so cute and have such a great design :) It seems like the owners/employees are down to earth, friendly people and I love to see their posts on fb because they are so original.

Ok sooo we started to try cloth with our first child who is now 2 1/2 but didn't really get the hang of it... When I became pregnant with our 2nd who I just recently had I came across the girly girl ruffle gpants and fell in love so I decided we were going all out this time using gdiapers and going full cloth... We are still trying to get the hang of it and could use some more small gpants and they were out of the tiny gs right before I had my little girl otherwise that would have been awesome but I would definitely use them on our future children. I love that they came out with gstyle sooo great and am totally in love with the gtote. Sooo pretty much about everything. The gdiapers are also very easy to use, and I like the company so I feel good about my children wearing their diapers. I am a facebook fan of gdiapers!!

When I first started looking at cloth diapers, there were so many out there and it was really confusing. Once I started researching companies further, I chose gDiapers for the following reasons:
* they are a smaller, family-friendly company
* their products are environmentally friendly
* their products are easy to use-my husband who was anti-cloth doesn't mind changing out little guy
* they have not only the cloth but also the disposable (and biodegradable) option

We just started trying for our second little one and this starter set would be perfect!

I don't actually need a bundle, but would like to say, that after using gDiapers for about 6 months, I'm very disappointed in them. There is all this talk about what a great company they are, and yet, my diapers have been falling apart since day one, even though I treat them like they are made of gold. No other cloth diaper company out there today would tell me that they knew there was a problem and that was ok with them. When my g's came off our little g's after a wash or two, they suggested I embroider them on. That was it. They know it's a problem, and don't even bother to pretend it matters. The elastic on my liners started to stretch from day one, and the assumption is that I must be doing something wrong. But I did my research, I joined the gDiaper Yahoo group and asked how to care for them, and read all of the tips. I just can't understand what all the fuss is about, frankly, I'm disillusioned. They certainly are adorable and trim, but if I could do it again, I wouldn't give them a dime.

We started getting into gDiapers late in the game with our little girl. She's right at the end of the Large-sized spectrum. We really wanted another option other than disposables for nighttime since she's day-trained. We'd looked at them before, had a Medium starter pack given to us at her shower but the cost (for us) of the Flushables and the uncertainty of a new baby prohibited us from using them. Then they came out with the gCloth and I decided to start researching again. Bought a pack of larges and 1 flushable pack and 1 gCloth pack. Have since researched the heck out of cloth diapers in general. Love that the g's are an easy-to-use introduction to the world of cloth diapering. I also love that I'm doing a small part to keep disposables out of landfills now. And their philosophy is great. I should also be able to introduce them to my daycare provider without hassle because of their ease of use. We just found out about a #2 on the way so I would love to stock up and have a smaller size for when this one arrives! Thanks!

I've loved gDiapers since I found out about it. I haven't actually used any of the products yet, but from all the reviews and the awesome videos I knew I wanted it eventually. My husband and I are finally expecting our first baby so I'm super excited to get my hands on some tiny g's and little gpants. I had known even before trying to have a baby that I didn't want to use disposables, but was unsure of all the work that came with cloth diapers. When I found this product I instantly fell in love with it and had to tell everyone about it! My babies will never use any other kind of diaper! My husband was also very happy when I found gdiapers. I had been talking about cloth diapering, but he still wanted to have the convenience of disposables. I also love how cute the gpants are and that we can just use them as the bottoms for our babies outfits saving us even more money! I love gDiapers so much!

I love supporting a small, family-oriented company.
I love purchasing a product I feel 100% good about.
I love everything "Fair Dinkum".
I became a gMum (ambassador) in order to spread the love and help other transition from disposables to gDiapers!

I love that gdiapers provides an environmentally friendly alternative to disposable diapers. I'm not a cloth diapers user (my overflowing laundry baskets explain why), and I love the ease of flushing or composting the gdiaper inserts. A big plus is that there is no lingering poop smell! And they do make a baby's bum look adorable :)

I love knowing that my soon-to-arrive little guy will never have disgusting and potentially dangrous chemicals against his sweet skin 23 1/2 hours a day. I love that I will never nudge my husband awake at 3am to run to the drugstore b/c we're out of diapers. I love that with just a couple extra loads of laundry a week we'll be able to save thousands of dollars over the diapered life of our little boy and any future children we have too. I love being able to support a company that is so admirable and responsible. And, c'mon, they are the absolute cutest diapering option out there! Nothing is cuter than a gBum!! :)

We're expecting our second baby due in January and are (myself more so than my husband) really excited to get started with gDiapers. We have used disposable diapers with my son (14 mos), but while we have the means to waste away on them at the moment, that won't be the case when baby 2 arrives.
Currently my husband is in the US Army, but a couple months after our new bundle of joy is born we will be civilians with my husband attending school full time. With that in mind I am trying to find 'frugal' possibilities that are still attractive to the eye. Which, as we all know, gDiapers is more than eye pleasing with their adorable 'g' word fabric. gDiapers also seem to be less bulky than other options on the market.
I believe gDiapers is our best option, besides the look, due to an easier transition from disposable diapers. With their gRefills I can gently ease my husband into getting use to using the gDiapers and eventually,(hopefully) get rid of all disposable options and live by cloth only. Better on the wallet and better on the environment!
Just writing this makes me giddy to try them out!! :D

Thanks for offering such a great giveaway! Found out about your blog from the gdiapers Website. I have been learning as much as possible about the gdiaper system and am especially intrigued by the versatility of using gcloth (or other cloth) inserts at home and grefills when we're out.
I've become a fan of gdiapers on FB.
Many thanks!
